Appreciation of, and farewell to retiring Board Members
The Institute recently bid farewell to two of its long-serving Board members: Ms Michelle Andrews and Dr Andrew Shook.
Michelle leaves to take on a senior executive roll within the Department of Premier and Cabinet. Michelle brought to the Board a most valuable understanding of government processes and priorities, as well as peerless strategy and governance skills.
Andrew has been appointed to a senior role in innovation in the energy sector in Queensland. Andrew brought to the Board sophisticated skills in R&D management and decision-making, as well as deep technical skills in metallurgy and process engineering.
Both Michelle and Andrew will be missed by MRIWA and we wish them all of the very best in their future endeavours.
The Minister is in the process of considering replacement Board members and these will be announced when approved by State Cabinet.
