There is a perception that mining low grade ore is an unavoidable consequence of ore deposit geology and mass mining. The energy cost and capital of used in the typically ‘Crush-Grind-Float’ method for low-grade deposits versus the output of minerals can drive poor productivity in a company.

CRC ORE’s technology ‘Grade Engineering®’ seeks to address this issue by focusing on extracting the metal more efficiently by separating the ore from the waste as early as possible.

The CRC ORE report on Grade Engineering and its different applications can be located here.

CRC ORE General Manager – Implementation Luke Keeney will be presenting on outcomes achieved to date from Grade Engineering and other CRC ORE projects at a MRIWA Workshop on 17 September. Register for free at https://crcore.eventbrite.com.au.
