UAV and Drones research report released
MRIWA is pleased to announce the delivery of a User Needs Analysis research report into the application of UAV and Drones. The research was coordinated in partnership with FrontierSI and the Department of Environment, Lands, Water and Planning (VIC) to explore the data quality control issues associated with Drone/UAV captured data within a range of sectors including Mining. The report was compiled through research with over 135 participants, profiling 56 UAV/Drone applications across 12 industries, to see how this indispensable tool is being used and will be used into the future. The release of the report is part of a wider research project to generate best practice workflows and automated quality control validation tools which will enable any user seeking to utilise Drones/UAV’s to carry out work on their mine sites.
