MRIWA proudly hosted the Advancing Net Zero Mining WA Conference on the 29 and 30 August 2023, showcasing Western Australia’s innovation and research capabilities.
The third year of this annual conference was all about accelerating innovation and broadening the net zero discussions to finding critical resources, mining responsibly and creating transparent supply chains to build trust and accountability.
The event brought back popular elements of the 2021 and 2022 conferences including practical masterclass sessions, scheduled time for delegate interaction, audience Q&A’s and a networking sundowner.
Plenary discussions highlighted cross cutting issues such as funding and financing, market and investment outlooks, policy and infrastructure considerations. Concurrent session streams explored the net zero journey across the mining value chain focusing on:
- Critical Minerals
- Net Zero Emission Mining
- Low Carbon Processing
- Circular Economy
