MRIWA PhD Scholarships Program
The MRIWA PhD Scholarship Program awards scholarships to postgraduate research students undertaking minerals research that will advance Western Australia.
Research can be in any discipline, and include technical, economic, environmental, social, and political perspectives. The Program provides:
- a scholarship stipend
- an additional payment for research and travel allowance
- access to events and networking opportunities
- training and ongoing support throughout the scholars’ studies
Scholarships Program Aims
The aims of the Scholarships Program are:
- to support novel research that addresses current gaps or innovation in the minerals industry that will have direct impact for the Western Australia
- support students to access and foster industry-academia collaborations
- contribute to the development of the minerals research workforce in Western Australia
Scholarship Types
- MRIWA Odwyn Jones PhD Scholarship open to all applicants including domestic and international students, and is offered to the highest ranked PhD candidate
- MRIWA PhD Scholarship for Women open to women PhD applicants
- MRIWA PhD Scholarship open to all PhD applicants including domestic and international students
- MRIWA Indigenous Postgraduate Research Scholarship open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Postgraduate students
