Masterclass helps MRIWA scholars share research ideas with industry

Delivered as part of MRIWA’s innovative education program, this 4-week course provided a practical introduction to communication and networking skills tailored to support scientists in socialising research ideas and communicating with industry audiences.

Supported by leading business communications guru Andy Lamb, attendees explored new approaches to research narratives focused on the power of plain language, audience empathy, and design thinking.

This communication skills edge is an important element of MRIWA’s vision of supporting the development of our PhD cohort future research champions able to understand and respond to the critical needs of the Western Australian mining industry.
