MRIWA’S challenges essential component to achieving WA Government’s ESG outcomes
The ESG pack includes programs from MRIWA, including Net Zero Emission Mining and Green Steel.
The McGowan Government has released Western Australia’s first-ever environment, social and governance (ESG) information pack to inform a broad range of investors considering WA as an investment destination.
Net Zero Emission Mining Challenge aims to reduce carbon footprint, lower energy costs, and improve energy efficiency.
With the steel industry causing 7% of global CO2 emissions, there is a significant focus on the development of green steel to reduce this. MRIWA’s Green Steel challenge aims to map the path to maximize WA’s iron ore resources to support global green steel ambitions. This will create new markets and industries.
