MRIWA TECH TALKS: Yilgarn Craton

MRIWA invites you to our monthly tech talks discussing the intricate processes and findings of our recently completed projects with a chance to question the researchers face to face.

In 2019, MRIWA helped to fund Yilgarn 20/20, a 3-year intensive research program to deliver new mineral systems understanding and technology solutions supporting mineral exploration in Western Australia’s Yilgarn Craton.

Working on multiple scales of targeting from regional dynamics to individual deposits, this study tested the understanding of mineralisation controls across this richly-endowed domain to empower the next generation of mineral exploration and discovery.

Module 1: Composition and evolution of the Yilgarn Craton lithosphere, and its role in gold and base metal mineralisation
Module 2: Understanding Camp-scale Crustal Architecture
Module 3: Vectoring mineralisation
