The Mining Industry 4.0 Collaborative Research Centre (MI4 CRC) Stage 1 bid was submitted to Canberra on July 1 2019. The bid was strongly supported by 36 partner organisations (22 from industry, 9 research providers, and 5 associations). The core objective of the CRC is “to increase the rate of development and uptake of open and integrated digital systems, to support holistic process automation and optimisation across the mining value chain.”

The bid partners will be hosting “MI4 CRC – Briefing and Q&A” events in Perth (Monday August 12), Melbourne (Friday August 16) and Brisbane (Wednesday August 21); and would like to invite interested METS and Mining company representatives to attend. The focus of this briefing is to grow the community of industry representatives interested in the core objective, and in ways to engage with the CRC (including becoming a new partner).

If you are interested in mining industry 4.0 techniques and technologies, and potentially being involved in MI4 CRC solutions development, please come along.
