MRIWA PhD Scholarship for Women (2019)

Project title
Geodynamics and basin evolution of the Paterson Orogen from Paleoproterozoic to Neoproterozoic based on 3D geophysical modelling and data inversion
Host university
University of Western Australia
Supervisor: Professor Mark Jessell
Benefit to Western Australia
Polyanna’s research is directed at supporting new mineral exploration concepts for the Canning Basin and Paterson Orogen in Western Australia’s north. She is working on new technological solutions for integrating geophysical, petrological, geochemical, and petrophysical data to improve the efficiency of mineral exploration across these frontier regions and help support the discovery of the next generation of mineral deposits in Western Australia.
