Application of chloride hydrometallurgy to dirty sulphides and nickel matte

Summary

This research considers the reactivity of mineral sulphides and physical properties of concentrated chloride solutions, and develops options for nickel mattes and “complex” sulphide concentrates.

The corrosion characteristics of different sulphides vary widely in chloride media, and factors controlling the corrosion are determined.
