Electroless nickel for solar energy applications
The use of electro less nickel coatings on mild steel and copper to improve their corrosion resistance sufficiently for use in solar hot water systems has been assessed with a view to lowering production costs and increasing service life. It was found that the internal plating of copper absorber panels with electroless nickel was a feasible method of increasing their effective working life.
