The nature of large scale shear zones and their relevance to gold mineralisation, Yilgarn Block

Summary

Lineaments that transect the Yilgarn Block represent fundamental shear zones in the craton and were of paramount importance in controlling its geologic evolution.

In this study, the central Southern Cross Province was selected as a type area to determine the extent, origin and significance of shear zones in the Yilgarn Block.
