U-Pb geochronology, geothermometry and petrology of the main areas of gold mineralisation in the Wheat Belt region of W.A.

Summary

Using principally the U-Pb isotopic systems in zircons, this study provides the first precise age determinations on rocks of the “wheat belt” region of Western Australia.  Whole-rock samples were processed to extract zircons and a total of 57 fractions were analysed.
