Australian Earth Science Education (AusEarthEd) is heading back to Kalgoorlie for the first of two trips to provide much-needed enrichment and recognition of earth science education for local students and teachers.

From 14-17 June 2022, Goldfields Baptist College, Kalgoorlie-Boulder Community College, John Paul College, and Fairbridge College students will engage in hands-on earth science incursions covering topics such as local geology, renewable and non-renewable resources, rocks, volcanoes, real world STEM and more.

CEO of AusEarthEd, Joanne Watkins states “Engagement with, and support of, regional students and teachers is a vital part of what AusEarthEd does to improve the quality of earth sciences and STEM education.”

Supported under the MRIWA Education Program through sitting fees generously donated by some MRIWA College members, Australian Earth Science Education (AusEarthEd) is heading back to Kalgoorlie, providing inspirational Earth Science enrichment for local students and teachers.

MRIWA is proud to partner with AusEarthEd in their work to provide Western Australia’s teachers with the tools they need to inspire the next generation of STEM professionals.
