Director Research Strategy
Biography
Erin has been part of the MRIWA team since May 2021, initially leading focus area activities on Net Zero Emission Mining. Appointed as Director Research Strategy in July 2023 as part of the Public Sector Commission Women in Executive Leadership Development Experience Initiative, Erin has led the research team and activation of strategic initiatives including working towards expansion of MRIWA’s research scope to include clean energy and emissions reduction research.
With a passion for climate and sustainability, and a background in law, clean energy and regional development, Erin has worked for the Western Australian State Government for the past 8 years bringing experience in strategic policy and program development, stakeholder engagement, project and contract management across the public and private sectors. Erin came to MRIWA having been involved in the development of State Government renewable energy priorities including COVID-19 recovery projects, Clean Energy Future Fund and the WA Renewable Hydrogen Strategy.
Originally from the United Kingdom, she holds an MSc in International Development and a Bachelors degree in Law from the University of Bristol.
